Welcome to the Gateway Regional High School District's Athletic and Student Activities Web Page!
We hope that the information provided on this page gives you a better understanding of Gateway's commitment to athletics and extra-curricular activities at our school.
Gateway Regional High School is a 7-12 school district that has an enrollment of approximately 1,100 students. The students attending our school are coming from National Park, Wenonah, Westville and Woodbury Heights, the local municipalities that surround our school. Gateway Regional High School is located in the southeastern portion of Gloucester County. At Gateway, we encourage every student to get involved in at least one extra-curricular activity. We offer a wide variety of athletic teams and clubs for our students to choose from.
G.R.H.S. is actively involved and a member of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), and we participate in the Colonial Conference of South Jersey; based on our population and our geographic location, we are a Group II, South school. Furthermore, Gateway provides our student-athletes with a variety of choices within our athletic program. We offer 20 different sports, comprising 39 different levels. Each student-athlete must adhere to the state and the district guidelines in order to participate in a sport.
In addition to the many athletic programs, Gateway Regional High School offers an abundance of choices to our students in the way of after school clubs. Our after school club program is another opportunity for our students to explore and to learn about themselves. Gateway's club program may be offered as a-year-long club or it may be offered as a "cycle". A cycle will last approximately 8-10 weeks; as the cycle changes, so do many of our clubs.
In closing, Gateway's Board of Education, faculty and administration view our extra-curricular programs as an important part of the learning experience. Our goal is for all of our students to learn about themselves and others in an environment outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Please use this web page and existing links to assist you in learning more about the opportunities that Gateway offers our student body.
