Mrs. Truhan is serving the third year of a three-year term on the Board of Education. She is the Chairperson of the Finance Committee and also serves on the Policy Committee and Supplies/Textbooks Committee. A 22-year resident of Woodbury Heights, Mrs. Truhan is active in her community and at Gateway Regional. Besides involvement in numerous community organizations and activities, Mrs. Truhan chaired Gateway's Project Graduation Committee for 12 years. Along with her husband, Robert, the Truhans have had five children graduate from Gateway. Mrs.

Truhan's grandson Patrick entered seventh grade this year at Gateway. While representing her constituents from Woodbury Heights, Mrs. Truhan strives to serve all the children that comprise the Gateway Regional "family". Her goal is to grow Gateway's reputation as one of the top performing schools within the county while recognizing the fiscal constraints that school districts face across New Jersey.
