The Student Council and the American Red Cross will be hosting our final blood drive of the year on Tuesday, May 26th in the gym.  Please see any student council member or Mrs. Evans or Mrs. Genzano to reserve your spot.  Give Blood.  Save Lives. 

 

Renaissance cards and permission slips for the Washington Lake Park trip on June 12 will be given out this week by your homeroom teacher.  Permission slips are due to Mrs. Clark in the main office or to Mrs. C. Evans in Room 212 by Friday May 29th.

 

Attention Students: Spring is here! Please adhere to the District's Dress Code: Shorts, skirts and dresses must be mid-thigh length.  Shirts must not be low cut, reveal a bare skin midriff, abdomen or back.  TANK TOPS ARE NOT PERMITTED; sleeveless 3-inch (NOT 3 fingers) shoulder strap will be permitted.

Congratulations to Softball Players Alex Astorga, Kennedy Whalen, and Lexi Thomas for being named 1st team All Colonial Conference - Patriot Division. Great job this season!

The cost for Rachel's Challenge Trip is $25.00 and all money must be in by Tuesday to Mrs. Antolik.

All ticket money for the Spring Varsity Awards Banquet is due on May 29.  Tickets for the student athlete were sent home with the invitation letter.  Any questions or additional details see Mr. Raba. The Spring Varsity Awards Banquet will take place on Monday, June 8 at 6 pm in the cafeteria.

Attention:  Only students who have registered to park with Mrs. Starner may park in the student parking lots.  There will be consequences for any student found parking in the front or small lot without being registered.  All staff must park in the back lot. 

 

Attention Student Council Members, today is the last day to turn in your permission slips and money for the Great Adventure Trip on June 4. Please see Mrs. Genzano in 218 or Mrs. Evans in 412 with any questions.

 

Attention High School Students, Student Council elections for the 2015-2016 school year will take place on June 3. If you are interested in running for an executive office please see Mrs. Genzano in 218 or Mrs. Evans in 412 for an application. Elections will be held on June 3, be on the look out for more information.

 

Attention National Honor Society Inductees and Members, this is a reminder that there will be practice for the Induction Ceremony during 7th & 8th period on Tuesday.  You must attend.  

 

The LIGHT, a Christian service group here at Gateway will be collecting items for needy patients at Legacy, a local medical facility.  The patients are between the ages of 10 and 19 and could use items such as toiletries or small games such as cards. The items are being collected in the middle school homerooms and in the main office.  The middle school homeroom that collects the most will receive munchkins and items will be collected through June 2nd.  See Mrs. Wenner with any questions.

 

Charity: Water Update, The Middle & High School did a great job donating to a worthy cause.  Your donations had the added bonus of being able to see ice water dumped on the heads of your Vice Principals.  Tuesday, May 26th, is the Big Day!  We will be dumping water on Mr. D'Ostilio & Mr. DiCicco's heads in the front of the building after school.

 

Leo Club MANDATORY MEETING for all members is today immediately after school in room 407 to discuss the beginning of next year.  Please, please make sure you attend!

 

Congratulations to all players in last nights Varsity Club "All Class" Volleyball Tournament.   Champions of the tournament were SWAT Team, who defeated the junior team of 'Team 1' by a score of 25-19. Playing for third place was another senior team, but they were defeated by the up-and-coming sophomore team, "Deez Volleyball Nets". Great night for all those involved, hope you had fun!

Attention members of the Junior Class:  We are now collecting payments for your senior trip.  It is no big secret that the trip is pricey, and it is a great idea to make your payments in installments.  If you would like to make a payment on your trip, please give it to either Mrs. Brennan in room 115 or Mrs. Buehler in 205.

 

The Academic Award Student List is posted on the main office and high school guidance window, please check the list for your name.  The criteria to be invited is superintendent's list once in the past 4 marking periods (includes T4 from last year) and/or principals list 3 times or more.

 

Seniors, now is the time to purchase your Graduation Announcements.  The cost is $1.50 or you can purchase five for $5.  Stop by room 310 today and get yours!  See Mr. Carty with any questions.  Remember, they won't know, if you don't announce it.

 

SPORTS RESULTS:

Congratulations to the MS Track Team on their performances at the the Colonial Conference Track Meet.  There were 4 members that finished in the top 10 in the conference. Tyler DeMaise placed 7th in the mile run, Kris Cortez placed 4th in the Discus, Tameia Dow placed 2nd in the Long Jump and Anthony Saunders placed 2nd in the High Jump.
