ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Do you feel you have a hard time completing assignments? Do you have a hard time staying organized?  Do you feel you need extra help?  If so, feel free to come to room 406 every Tuesday and Thursday.  Mrs. Slater is happy to assist any high school student who needs it!

 

Middle Schoolers!  Are you interested in a club that helps change the school?  Do you like to go on field trips?  Well then Middle School Student Council is right for you.  Our first meeting will be next Wednesday, September 17 in room 212 during A lunch.  Again, that is next Wednesday.  Stop in to find out why you would be perfect for Middle School Student Council! 

 

National Honor Society. There will be a NHS meeting for all current members on Tuesday September 23rd.  Please plan on attending.  See Mrs. Brennan in Room 115 or Mr. Skinner in the Media Center if you have any questions.

 

Picture Day is tomorrow.  Pictures for all students will be taken during their Gym/Health Class in the Health Rooms.  All students who are not enrolled in a Gym/Health class will get their picture taken during their study hall period. Seniors will not have their picture taken, your picture from last year will be used for your Gateway photo ID.

 

The first FCCLA meeting will be held today, Wednesday, after school in the foods room 102.  Come see what FCCLA is about.  Mrs. Muller and Mrs. Pierce are the advisers and we have an award winning club here at Gateway so come out and get involved.

 

Wheels Club the first meeting will be today after school in room 310.  All interested middle schoolers are welcome to join.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Carty.

 

Middle School Student Council will have its first meeting today in room 212 during A lunch.  All 7th and 8th graders are invited to attend the meeting. 

 

Middle School Students  - The Builders Club is a community service club.  We are looking for students who like to help others all while having a good time.  The first meeting of the Builders Club will take place this Thursday during lunch in room 205.  See Mrs. Buehler if you have any questions.

 

Animal CARE Club there will be a meeting after school tomorrow in Room 115 for any high school students interested in joining this year.  We have an upcoming Pledge A Paw dog walk in October.  Please plan to attend!

 

Interested in running for Class Officer?  You can pick up an application from any of your advisors or in the Main Office.  The applications are due no later than Friday, September 19th. Please turn in your completed applications to your Class Advisors.  Freshman:  Mrs. A. Evans & Mrs. Genzano.  Sophomore:  Mrs. C. Evans & Mr. Covely. Juniors:  Mrs. Brennan & Mrs. Buehler. Seniors:  Mr. Carty & Mrs. Flamini.  

 

To all students with an interest in photography and filmmaking, Photography Club will have their first meeting today after school in room 501. If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to join please see Mrs. Raubertas or Mrs. Sheehan.

 

Anime Club the first meeting will be held today afterschool in room 424.  All students in grades 7-12 are invited to attend.  See Mrs. Hill in room 424 with questions.

 

Hel-loooo Gateway!  Have you gotten in trouble for "reading under the desk" in class?  Are some of your favorite people fictional characters?  Are you still mad that Hermione married Ron and Augustus died?  Then you should JOIN BOOK CLUB!  Come to our first meeting tomorrow in room 413 at 2:45.  And if you can't make it, just see Ms. Desmond. 

 

All students interested in joining Key Club that have not signed up yet, please see Mrs. Irwin in room 204 or Mrs Genzano in room 218, sometime, this week.

Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting a night out at Yogo Factory on Monday, September 22 from 6:00-9:00 pm. 15% of the proceeds will be donated to the cheerleading squad, so please come out and support your Gators!

Girls soccer will be hosting a Chick Fil A Spirit Night at the Mantua Chick Fil A tomorrow night from 5-7 pm. Please come out an show your support for the team.

Freshman...your Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Carriers have arrived. See Mrs. Genzano in room 218 or Mrs. Evans in room 412 to pick one up!

 

Boys Middle School Soccer beat Collingswood 6-0 on Monday in an impressive win. Goals were scored by Blaine Lombardo, Keegan McIntyre, Chris Rubena, Joe Villari, Tyler Miller, and Ben Alzate. Gabe Armento and Aiden Burow each contributed in goal for the shutout. Nice job, guys!
