Mission Statement:
We, of the Gateway Regional High School District, believe that the educational program should create an environment that values children through the promotion of a student-centered atmosphere where individuals are in a safe, caring, respectful, and academically focused learning institution.
Such a program should allow students to achieve at their optimal ability, preparing citizens for a democratic society; and it should foster the skills, knowledge, abilities, and strengths of the individual in preparation for life-long endeavors.
This is accomplished through the utilization of a Best Practices model to include diverse instructional strategies, multiple forms of assessment, and adherence to high academic standards valued by our communities. This academic mission also will be supported by activities beyond the school day.
Education should provide the foundation by which people will make decisions and function effectively within a changing society. Education should recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of students as it fosters individual growth. Ultimately, this growth will enhance the intellectual, physical, technological, emotional, moral, and aesthetic needs of the District’s students.
